JENNIFER PUIG

Jennifer Puig is a dance artist and choreographer with an inexhaustible curiosity for how dance is manifested in different cultures throughout the world. She draws inspiration from her Dominican roots and culture, particularly in how it brings together different forms of dance and cultural expression to create unity and awareness.
In terms of professional performances, Jennifer has participated in several festivals and recently performed at Miami Art Basel: Moving Lights, Sleepless Nights 2008 and at Miami’s Gazillionaire Late Night Lounge.
In addition to expressing her own creativity through movement, Jennifer has been involved in numerous community and educational programmes, including FLAP (Family Literacy Arts Programme-FIU), Harambee, and Brazz Dance Theater, using dance as an educational tool to cultivate unity in the Miami community.
