The Reales Atarazanas building, which now houses the Maritime Museum of Barcelona, is one of the most important civil buildings from the Gothic period, a beautiful complex of enormous halls with vaulted ceilings and Mediterranean gardens. The spaces available in this architectural marvel provide a singular, historical note to any event as well as being some of the largest available for both private and company events in the city centre.

Located a few metres from the famous Ramblas and overlooking the old port and Mediterranean Sea, the Maritime Museum provides more than a superb overview of Catalonia's seafaring tradition and history. Its 10,000m2 facility - beautifully restored in 1985 by the architects Esteve and Robert Terrades - contains one of the most magnificent venues in Barcelona: the Sala Marqués de Comillas. This spacious hall is ideal for large-scale private and corporate events: conferences, receptions, gala dinners, exhibitions, fashion shows, conventions and more. This beautiful space combines the best of old and new: modern technology and timeless architecture.

Below you'll find a brief description of the spaces available at the Maritime Museum. The largest of these - the Sala Marqués de Comillas - can accommodate between 500-1,000 people. The other spaces are considered "extras," meaning that they can only be rented in addition to the main venue.

MAIN VENUE:
Sala Marqués de Comillas

This magnificent hall dates back to the 17^th century, but its architecture resembles that of a traditional Gothic nave. Meticulously restored in 1992, the Sala Marqués de Comillas is a unique venue that can be used for concerts, fashion shows, exhibitions, presentations and gala dinners. The architecture isn't the only unusual thing about this venue - its size is equally impressive. Few places in the city centre can accommodate 1,000 people for a dinner party, let alone do so in such a distinguished setting.

The enormous hall still features the ancient arches so typical of Gothic ceilings, complemented by modern details and tall windows. The combination of wood, natural sandstone and earth tones makes for a warm, welcoming yet elegant atmosphere that is equal parts modern and historic.

ADDITIONAL SPACES:
These spaces can be rented in addition to the Sala Marqués de Comillas. They cannot be rented separately.

Sala de Actos:
This small auditorium is perfect for seminars, press conferences and lectures for up to 100 people. It is fully equipped with all the latest technology.

Pedro IV Foyer:
The continuation of the museum's foyer - a historic space with original 14^th century walls and floors - is an ideal space for presentations or cocktails/aperitifs.

Capacity: Cocktail – 400 people
Availability: after 20:00h

Jardín del Rey:
Surrounded by majestic medieval stone walls, the Jardín del Rey is a beautiful courtyard with Mediterranean vegetation and a mix of deciduous trees, pines and palms. Ideal for outdoor cocktail parties, particularly during the warmer months of the year.

Availability: after 20:00h

Grandes Naves:
The grand, perfectly preserved Gothic halls that make up the centre of this architectural complex can be rented for simple aperitifs/cocktails prior to celebrations held in the main hall.
